Utah Golf Series is forged from the desire to play competitive golf as the weekend warrior golfer. Where club leagues and associations bind you to one course on an inconvenient day of the week, Utah Golf Series allows you to golf some of Utah's best courses through a 22-week series, whenever is convenient for you! So whether you're a scratch golfer or just barely got your first set of clubs, Utah Golf Series is a place for you to hone your game and earn some cash in the process!

What It Is

The Utah Golf Series is a 22-week Championship Series played across some of Utah’s most scenic and challenging courses. No annual membership fee, cash payouts, fresh courses, season point standings and championship, and convenient scheduling. Points will be awarded for every round played according to the scoring breakdown below. All rounds will be played as 9 hole rounds except for the Majors, Playoff, and Series Championships, and will be scored as net scoring (gross - handicap = net score). 

Who It’s For

Utah Golf Series is for anyone, ladies and gentlemen, regardless of skill level. There's no annual fee and no commitment to do every round. So if you and your wife, buddies, girlfriends, or family want to get out and play some competitive golf, here's your opportunity!

How It Works

• 22 weeks of play. 1 course per week (Sunday - Saturday), play any day you like

• Submit a picture of your signed scorecard using the link on the home page

• 17 rounds of standard 9-hole stroke play (net scoring - handicap adjusted)

• 3 18-hole Major Championships with prizes and larger series points payouts (net scoring - handicap adjusted)

• 1 18-hole playoff round (net scoring - handicap adjusted)

• 2-day 36-hole Championship Weekend (net scoring - handicap adjusted)

• Competition, cash payouts, and of course, bragging rights!

Major Championships, Playoff, and Series Championship Registration

Pre-registration is required to participate in the major events, the playoff event, and the series championship. Tee time fees and tournament fees will be due at registration, and the series will book the tee times. *all other standard rounds are booked by the player* 

Weekly Cash

Every week to participate in a standard round you will pay $10 into the pot. $5 will be put away for prizes for the series championship and $5 will be put toward round payouts. Standard round fees are due when the scorecard is turned in. Major championships and the playoff will be $100 and each day of the Series Championship will be $120, which will go to booking the tee time and the remainder will go back into payouts for that specific championship. Major fees are due by the registration deadline. Weekly payouts will be done on the Monday following. Only required to pay for the weeks you want to participate in the series. All money exchanging will be done via Venmo.

UGS Points

Every week of play is a chance to earn Utah Golf Series points. If you play every round the more opportunity you have to earn points. Missed a week? No worries, you will not be disqualified or out any money for that round. Point payout will be as outlined in the table below.

UGS Championship

The UGS Championship will be played on September 26-27, 2025 at Wasatch Mountain Lake and Mountain courses. This is a 2-day 36-hole tournament. The leader of the series entering championship weekend will enter the tournament with a score of -10, second with a score of -8, third -6, fourth -5, fifth -4, sixth -3, seventh -2, eighth -1, and ninth and back will start at even. Play will commence over the two days and after a Utah Golf Series Champion will be crowned!
